United Offensive is an excellent expansion that takes the intensity of Call of Duty and ratchets it up even higher.
There's
no doubt that Call of Duty was one of the standout shooters of 2003
thanks to its addictive blend of intense single-player action and wild
multiplayer gameplay. By taking its cues from Hollywood movies and
television shows such as Band of Brothers, Call of Duty manages to
immerse you in a virtual cinematic experience as you fight the battles
of World War II on the front lines. So it's not too hard to imagine
that developer Gray Matter faced a daunting task when it was asked to
make an expansion for Call of Duty, which was originally developed by
Infinity Ward. However, apparently Gray Matter was more than up to the
task, because the developer took everything that was great about Call
of Duty and then ratcheted the gameplay's intensity even higher. The
result is that Call of Duty: United Offensive is a truly great
expansion.
United Offensive follows a similar format to that found
in Call of Duty. You play as three Allied soldiers--an American
paratrooper, a British SAS commando, and a Soviet infantryman--who are
caught in the great struggle against Nazi Germany. Over the course of
the single-player campaign, you'll go from the frozen siege of Bastogne
during the Battle of the Bulge to the epic German counterattack at
Kursk. Throughout most of the campaign, you'll participate in huge,
heavily scripted, set-piece battles that make the squad-based battles
in Call of Duty look downright minuscule in comparison.
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas ISO
Set
in 1992, the game revolves around the main character, Carl "CJ" Johnson
returning home to Los Santos after learning of his mother's murder. CJ
finds his family and his old gang, the Grove Street Families, in
disarray. Over the course of the game, CJ gradually unravels the plot
behind his mother's murder while reestablishing his gang and exploring
his own business ventures.
Control in the PC version is full
of options. You can decide to hook up a dual analog gamepad so that you
can play it just like the console versions, or you can instead opt for
mouse-and-keyboard control. Either method works, though we had several
cases where the game would simply stop responding to any mouse input
until we alt-tabbed out of the game, moved the mouse, and then jumped
back in. This isn't exactly the sort of thing you want to have happen
in the middle of a shoot-out. Mouse control also removes the lock-on
aspect of the targeting, giving you easy access to manual targeting.
The refined control the mouse gives you seems like an unfair advantage
at times, because it's very easy to rack up one-shot kills by aiming
for the head. If you have a smooth mouse hand, even the roughest
firefights are really basic...provided the mouse doesn't die on you.

t's fairly short, and it's missing the console versions' bonus features, but Prince of Persia is a truly excellent action adventure game for as long as it lasts.
No previous experience with the Prince of Persia series is required to enjoy Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. In fact, virtually nothing will bar you from being impressed by this extremely well-put-together action adventure game from the studio that brought you Splinter Cell and Rainbow Six 3. In stark contrast to Ubisoft Montreal's previous offerings, Prince of Persia is surprisingly easy, despite the incredible acts of skill and daring that the game's main character will routinely perform during the course of the game. As a result, this original, visually stunning game can be highly recommended to just about anyone. The new PC port, whose release trailed a few weeks behind its console counterparts, is just about as impressive as the others, overall. It's a fairly short game, and it's missing the console versions' bonus features, but it's truly excellent for as long as it lasts.

The 2nd expansion pack to the hit game F.E.A.R. finds the player leading an alternative F.E.A.R team tasked with investigating the Perseus project at Armacham facilities.
